Terms of Use

Welcome to Shyft. By downloading, installing, or using the Shyft mobile application or website at shyft.lol (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Shyft. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and wallet.
You must not share your account or allow others to access your wallet on your behalf.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Shyft uses Privy for authentication and non-custodial wallet management. Private keys are managed by Privy's secure infrastructure and are not accessible to Shyft.

3. Blockchain Transactions

Shyft is built on the Solana blockchain. Posts, profiles, reactions, and other social actions are recorded on-chain and are permanent and publicly visible by nature of blockchain technology.
Shyft sponsors all on-chain transactions on your behalf — you do not need SOL to use the app. Shyft covers transaction fees and account rent.
Shyft is not responsible for failed transactions or network congestion on the Solana blockchain.
Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Shyft cannot undo or reverse any on-chain action.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Shyft a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your content within the Service.
You are solely responsible for the content you post, including text, images, and videos.
You must not post content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
Content posted on-chain cannot be fully deleted from the blockchain history, even if removed from the Shyft interface.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Post spam, malware, or phishing content
Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
Attempt to exploit, hack, or disrupt the Service or its smart contracts
Impersonate another person or entity
Use bots or automated tools to interact with the Service without permission
Engage in wash trading, market manipulation, or any fraudulent activity

6. No Financial Advice

Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Cryptocurrency and blockchain assets are highly volatile. You use the Service at your own risk and are solely responsible for your financial decisions.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SHYFT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHYFT AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND EMPLOYEES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF FUNDS, DATA, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and without notice. On-chain data cannot be removed by Shyft after termination.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
